Ingredients
  

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp instant yeast
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 3/4 cup buttermilk warm
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tbsp butter melted
  • oil for frying
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar

Method
 

  1. Mix dry ingredients in a bowl.
  2. Combine wet ingredients and add to dry mixture.
  3. Knead dough until smooth, then let rise.
  4. Roll and cut dough into squares.
  5. Fry until golden and drain excess oil.

Notes

  • Do not overheat oil to avoid burning.
  • Let dough rise fully for best texture.
  • Dust with sugar while warm.
