Ingredients
  

  • 1 tbsp neutral oil
  • 450 g ground chicken
  • 1 small onion finely diced
  • 3 garlic cloves minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh ginger grated
  • 1 red bell pepper finely diced
  • 1 small carrot grated
  • 1/4 cup water chestnuts chopped
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp fish sauce
  • 1 tbsp lime juice fresh
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1/2 tsp chili flakes optional
  • 1/4 cup peanuts chopped
  • 2 tbsp cilantro chopped
  • 1 head butter lettuce or romaine leaves separated and washed

Equipment

Method
 

  1. Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat, then cook onion until slightly softened.
  2. Add garlic and ginger, cook briefly, then add ground chicken and break it up.
  3. Cook until the chicken is no longer pink, then add bell pepper, carrot, and water chestnuts.
  4. Stir in soy sauce, fish sauce, lime juice, honey, sesame oil, and chili flakes, then cook until lightly coated.
  5. Remove from heat and fold in peanuts and cilantro, then spoon into lettuce leaves and serve.

Notes

  • Keep lettuce dry for the best crunch.
  • Adjust lime and honey to balance the sauce.
  • Reheat filling separately and assemble wraps just before serving.
